Ambrosia
The city is divided into 4 loss districts, the Ditches are the poorest area of the city, where most respectable residents fear to tread. The Stalls are where the majority of merchants and guilds call home. The Gardens are the upper-class area of the city, full of lavish homes and high end shops. The last district is the Courts, this district houses the varies “Government” building and the estates of the cities “royalty”, while most so called “royalty” in the city are just creatures who have acquired enough power locally to grant themselves the title, but it is rumored that several members of the Faerie Courts do have residence in the city.
Ambrosia has made it’s riches as a trade hub for goods going in and out of the Feywild, the true currency is…… knowledge….. information….. dirt, if you will. Secrets are closely guarded and one of the most valuable forms of currency. While most conflicts, at least in the nicer parts of the city, are
solved through the use of “dirt”, it’s still not uncommon for duels,
both magic and martial to be fought at all social levels of the city.
Because of this there is a good market for professional duelists, and
depending on your employer it can be a very safe and profitable
profession. Duels come in three varieties, the simplest and safest ends
after one combatant has scored three “touches” or hits, the next, a
Blood duel, while still not fatal, is generally reserved for settling
more severe grievances, and finally are duels to the death, which
thankfully are rare, at least among the upper crust of the city.
