The Curious Nature of Fey Magic
Fey Magics
An honest word of thanks can be used to craft Gossamer, a substance stronger than steel, lighter than spider silk.
With Gossamer, they can create artifacts of light and wonder; a dying
lover’s promise could fuel the magic to create magnificent armor. An
oath of undying enmity can make a perfect blade. An honest gesture of
hospitality can be used to make an item that produces food, fresh water,
small gems. A font of youth from a child’s innocent confession. A
palanquin of comfort and excess from a brothel owner’s desperate, unpaid
debt. A soldier of shadow from an assassin’s terrified plea.
Above all others are names. Names are their most precious commodity, and the Fey are always searching
for ways to acquire them. Fey can make all manner of things from a name.
People give up their names to the Fey for myriad reasons, and the Faeycreate their greatest wonders from these foolishly traded treasures.
