Beladorne
The city of Beladorne is deceptively large, as the city blends with the trees and rolling hill of the small forest that is the city. The city spans from the stores and home woven beautifully into the lush canopy, to quaint little thatched roof building dotting the forest floor and even homes and stores build half or fully submerged into the rolling hills.
The city is protected by several wards and magical barriers, along with a maze that surrounds the city for 50 miles in all directions. Even if the correct path is chosen, it still takes traveling several days through the maze to reach the city. The sky above the maze is warded against magical flight, and is routinely patrolled by Druids, along with a few griffons, and one can be certain every bird in the sky will be reporting all they see to a Druid. Travelers who have made the mistake of attempting to climb or cut their way through the maze walls have found these dense tangles of thorny vines are far from normal. The walls seem to have a sentience of their own and don’t take to kindly to being molested by travelers. The city is ruled by the Coven of Thorns, the Druids and Witches, and in
some cases their descendants, who originally formed the mazes. The city
is a place of quite peace, with little to no crime, as it is dealt with
swiftly and harshly. The inhabitants live in relative comfort as the
number of Druids and Witches in the city means food and fresh water,
along with healing and disease prevention are easily taken care of.
