Fey Prankster
[Bard Subclass]
Taking cues from the most notorious pranksters in the multiverse, Fey Pranksters seek to bring the joy and madness of the Feywild with them everywhere they go.
Have you ever had your belongings suddenly disappear right from under your nose? Or felt like the world has gone topsy-turvy for a second? Well, that was our doing. And now you can learn how to do it too. Yay, a new friend! How fun!
Embracing The Fey Life
You’re becoming a bit more like the fey. Isn’t that nice? Let’s just hope you’re more pixie than hag. Or maybe you want to be like a hag; nothing wrong with that, or course…. I’m not judging…. Much.
At 3rd level, you learn Sylvan and your choice of either Dancing Lights or Druidcraft. Your choice is now a class spell for you.
Just a Harmless Prank
You can’t be a prankster without a handful of pranks to play on people, and let me tell you, we’ve got some good ones to choose from.
Starting at 3rd level, you learn three pranks from the Fey Pranks list, and you learn one more when you reach 5th, 9th, 13th, and 17th level in this class. Each time you gain a level in this class, you can replace one prank you know for another on the list.
You can use your pranks a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
If you roll initiative while having no remaining uses of your pranks, you regain one use.
Trick save DC: 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma Modifier
Little Playful Helpers
You’ve caught the eye of a handful of pixies with your hijinks. Watching you go about adventuring has become a bit of a pastime for these curious and light-hearted folks.
Starting at 6th level, whenever you fail an ability check, 1d4 pixies appear within 5 feet of you to either comfort or tease you on your failure, before disappearing in a cloud of glitter and giggles.
Additionally, as an action, you can call out to these pixies to lend you a hand on your adventure. The pixies either help you with your pranks, restoring 1d4 expended uses of your Fey Pranks, or helping you with your next few actions, granting you advantage on your next 1d4 rolls of a d20.
You can use this feature once per long rest.
Intensive Pixie Care
Your pixie friends are actively cheering you on now, rather than just watching as you go. They want to see you succeed and will go out of their way to help you when the situation is truly dire.
Beginning at 14th level, when you are reduced to 0 hit points, but not killed outright, you are teleported to the Feywild by the pixies that watch over you. The pixies take care of you until you are in fighting shape once more, and at the start of your next turn, you return to your original space, or the closest unoccupied space, having regained hit points equal to half your hit point maximum and all expended uses of your FeyPranks.
The pixies will help you in this way once per long rest.
