ASI's and Feats
Each character gains a Feat at 1st level. Then, starting at 4th level, when you would gain your first Ability Score Increase. You can gain a +1 in 2 Ability Scores of your choice, or a +2 in 1 Ability Score of your choice, or you may choose to gain a Feat instead.
Additionally, you could gain a +2 to 1 skill of your choice or a +1 to 2 skills of your choice, as long as the skill increase makes narrative sense, based on play or downtime.
You can mix and match however you choose, one time you could choose a +1 to an Ability Score and a +1 to a Skill, the next time you could choose a Feat.
All characters gain a ASI at 1, 4, 8, 12, 16, and 19th levels, regardless of class levels. The Fighter and Rogue's additional ASI's are still gotten at their respective levels, and are class level dependent, just like other class features.
